Bloated barb recovered!

Hi!

My fat Sumatra tiger barb who had been placed in a quarantine tank went home today! He had spent a whole week in solitary confinement.

I was happy to observe his/her bright colors return and his scales not up anymore! He started eating and the wound on his side is gone (it was from fish bites).

Can a barb really recover from dropsy? Or maybe my fish didn't have it?

Recovering form dropsy is very rare, but can happen (so I have heard).

Either way, I'm glad that he is better. :)

glad it's ok. :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Thank you!

Maybe he just needed to lose some weight? But his scaled had been raised before quite significantly!
