Angel fish fighting

Hello:

I have two black angel fish in my 10 gallon tank, then I decided to add another angel, the problem is that the two that were originally in the tank are having trouble accepting this new fish. They are fighting against the new fish and he is getting hurt. I want to know what is causing this behavior and what can I do to fix it.

I will appreciate your help in this matter.

Thank you.

I would say to remove the new one quickly before the paired of black angles are injured. It's always best to add your angles at the sane time tho there may still be some fighting for mating rights.I had two gorgeous marbled combtails (a pair) i added a hi-fin gold, turns out a male the pair cared for him and as he matured he turned on the male, after lots of fin and face ripping they all died. I do believe the golds hold the fighting championship belt. So if this new guys unwelcome your best to remove him. As they age the male develops a "cichlid " hump on his nose. Always ask about your angles @ purchase to make sure they're not iranian.

I am not an expert by any means, but once two Angels pair, you should limit the amount of Angels to just them, or multiple pairs. The solo Angel will feel left out. Also, how big are your Angels right now? A 10 gallon tank is way too small for them. Generally, a 30 gallon tank per Angel or pair of Angels and they like a taller tank. If they are babies right now, it will be fine, but you will want to plan on getting a larger tank.
