hello i have gotten two american flag fish yesterday to help eat the brown algae in my 55 gal tank .i set this tank up with live plants so that i have them and 3 platys. well the new fish are just hanging out at the top of the tank. D o you think that their just getting used to their enviorment. thats what im hopping for. their fins arent clamped and they seem to be breathing ok. Any feedback is appreciated . How long has the tank been set up, and what are the water parameters? How did you acclimate them?

It's hard to say what's going on, really. It could just be that they're adjusting to their surroundings but if water conditions aren't good or they weren't acclimated properly (or both) they could be quite stressed out.
