2 Male Millenium Rainbowfish

Can anyone tell me if two male Millenium Rainbowfish can go in one tank together?
Right now they are in a 20gallon QT and they seem to be constantly swimming right beside each other, they will go away for about 2 seconds and then they will come back and swim right beside each other again. It's almost like they challenging each other, even though they don't actually touch each other (no nipping)

Yeah you can keep them together.

they will chase and show off but as long as they don't nip and what not they will be fine, just make sure they have places they can hide if necessary.


however if they do start nipping a lot I'd be worried and would split them.

This is a schooling fish, so if you do add more, until you have at least 6, i would only keep males...
So for instance, if you have 5, only do females or males. However if you have 6, you can do 3 and 3...
Repeat so 4 and 4, 5 and 5 etc... or all one type.
If you get to odd's, let the odd be a female, so 4 males 5 females.
