Yeah you can keep them together.
they will chase and show off but as long as they don't nip and what not they will be fine, just make sure they have places they can hide if necessary.
however if they do start nipping a lot I'd be worried and would split them.

This is a schooling fish, so if you do add more, until you have at least 6, i would only keep males...
So for instance, if you have 5, only do females or males. However if you have 6, you can do 3 and 3...
Repeat so 4 and 4, 5 and 5 etc... or all one type.
If you get to odd's, let the odd be a female, so 4 males 5 females.
