i have a scarlet hermit and a porcelain crab will they live with each other?

They should be fine with one another, as both are reported to be of peaceful temperment. I have not read of any reported issues between the two species, but there is always the potential for problems with any species. I'd have to say you have a fairly good chance for success with those two.

Well it isn't a porcelain crab but my emerald crabs have taken to eating my hermit crabs.

It's likely youre hermets were dead or dying if they're being eaten by a Mithax Crab. You may see more aggression issues between the Mithrax and the Porcelain crab tho.
