What type of coral is this?

I was at my LFS today, and i saw this in their reef section.... I assumed that my New Maroon clown would host on it, just cause it looked like an Anemone, but the LFS specifically said it wasnt. Sure enough however, the Maroon clown loves it, and began hosting on it in the first hour or so of it being in the tank. However, I am curious on what type of coral it is, because the LFS couldnt even figure it out, but i just went ahead and bought it.

Im' taking a stab here, thinking it looks like some sort of Plating Coral.

Maybe a Montipora Plate Coral.

Isnt that a hard coral though? this one is a soft coral.... grr if i had any marine biologists nearby i would totally bring this to them... cause It seems that clown fish will host on it, which is awesome cause you get the fun of an anemoney without the anemone problems

Clownfish will host just about anything. But, your coral may be soft on top, is it hard on the bottom, where it is on the rock? Ah, im guessing. I can't tell what it is.

Also it is barely touching the surface of the rock, if i wanted to, i could probably rip it off without much effort or cutting. its soft throughout as well.....
