What sort of coral?

This piece of coral(?) is on the side of a 4.5kg Liver rock I got the other day. there are 3 other small bit of coral on this piece LR which I was very happy with @$17 a kg. the coral in the pic is 4inches across, where is another bit that looks like brain coral that has orange in the centres but I can't get a close pic.
So what sort is it called, in the pic?

Its hard to tell. From the pic it looks like it was a tiny coral that died and was covered in coralline algea.

it doesnt look like cndy cane coral, or a brain coral. it might be one of those things where it has to get a little bigger to compare it to something.

Does it look a bit like this? Maybe not as puffy around the edges?

It's not Caulastrea! Do a google image search on Acanthastrea. Could also be variety of Favia, Try the image search on that as well. I have a large favia. When new heads appear, part of the centers are orange for a few months.
