I upped my salinity to a solid 1.023 today. I topped off with salt water to do it gradually. Hopefully in another day or so it will be about 1.025. The toadstool is still not standing up but it isn't quite as crunched as before. I didnt think they required any special conditions, just good light, good water and good flow. I'm not sure what I'm missing as my parameters are all in check aside from the salinity.

With corals your going to need to watach everything now. Calcium, Magnesium, Alk, Phosphates, and the normal others. But Salinity in a Reef is 1.025-1.026. The fish have a wider range to operate in.

Salinity has been up to 1.025 for a couple weeks now. Plus I've been adding phytoplankton. The Zoas are doing great and the mushroom has started to really come into it. It is actually looking bigger than when I got it and its starting to extend its tentacles for most of the day. I also got a dirt cheap little finger coral thingy a week or two ago which is all fully extended and looking good.

My Zooanthid colony is attaching itself to the rock I put it on. Also that mushroom is looking good. His base is much larger now and he changes shape and extends his tentacles from time to time. I got some yellow colony polyps that I had to super glue to a rock to get then to stay and they're doing well. Only thing is I have some type of acropora that I got pretty much for free and he was doing alright up until a few days ago when my flame angel found a colony of copepods living under it. He kept bumping it grabbing them and it hasn't been opening very much since despite moving it and shooing the pods away
