Two quick questions bout sand starfish and horseshoe crab

I recently purchased a sand starfish and horseshoe crab, I dripped acclumated them to my tank and now the horseshoe has disappeared 2 days later and the sand star is out wondering about on the glass, anyone know if these are normal behaviours? The tank has a 2 1/2 sand bed for them and has been established for 6 months so should be plenty for them to eat, also I just did a 1/4 water change 5 days ago so all the parameters are pretty low atm.

Your horseshoe crab is hiding in the substrate.

I am not familiar with the common name "sand starfish".

Sorry, i am also not familiar with the common name of "sandsifting sea star". My guess is that the LFS does not know the exact species. Can you post a picture?
