trouble fraging rhodactis

i have been fraging dicosomas or mushroom anemones by cuttings succesfuly but every time i cut a piece from my rhodactis or atinodiscus they melt away ...i use the method of cutting a piece as close to the mouth as possible..i put the cutting into a clear plastic cup i a indirect flow with a little bit subdued lighting and some rubble to atach to ...i have failed 5 seperate occasions and am getting frustrated...my recordia and discosomas frag and attach just fine...throw me a bone here...ADIOS...

frags

i put them at the bottom of the same tank in wich they are fraged in..my perameters are fine ....ph 8.2,amonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0-50,phosphates0-25,calcium 390-420,salinity023, and kh are good....i could subdue the lighting ..........PS i dont know if it matters but i have only tried to cut pieces off the fuzzy mushrooms that i have wich are bland as in brown ....i dont want to try the green or purple until i masterthe not so pretty ones....maybe it is a fluke...i thought that the brownish more durable ones would have fraged easier...what do you think.....ADIOS...

i try to get as close to the mouth as possible sometimes it is not possible...it doesnt seem to matter with the discasomas....but i think you are onto something...the browns may not be as hardy as i thought ...it might make sence that since they contain a lesser amount or type of zoozanthelae that there recovery would be stressed...i am going for a green with this in mind ...wish me luck...ADIOS...
