Starting a reef tank

Questions about starting a reef tank....

I started out with a 30 gallon saltwater tank that I started four months before moving to a 55 gallon tank, see picture link in my signature. The 55 gallon tank has been up for a month.

I know I am far away from starting to add corals but I am interested to learn how to add and keep them in my tank.

Is there any special equipment outside of the equipment for my FOWLR set up now?

My current equipment is:
protein skimmer
sump system
chiller/heater

Any information at this point would be a big help!

You may need to add additional powerheads to increase flow within the system.

As for adding corals, yes, they will need proper acclimation.
