Unhappy Starting a nano-reef system!

I plan on using a 10 to 15 gallon tank. I want to filter the tank with live rock and live sand. I would like to keep beginner corals, and mushrooms. I might only keep 1 to 2 fish. I was wondering what kind of light would be best to use? I have a 65 watt 50/50 half daylight and half actinc power compact. I was hoping that would be enough? Also i planned on doing weekly water changes of 10 to 15 percent to keep nitrates down, i was wondering if that would be ok too? Also, when keeping beginner corals and mushrooms will weekly water changes with a good salt mix be enough to keep them happy and alive or will i have to watch calcium and other levels? I am very new to saltwater. I have been doing freshwater for awhile now and i want a small nano-reef. Give me some ideas on what i need for a beginner reef tank. I dont want to go crazy, just seem so corals and mushrooms and a clown fish or somethings. Thanks everyone . Kyle

Hey yes I think your light will be sufficient, you will want a 4 inches of sand for filtration and yes water changes are needed, check out

He has a nano tank also.

Make sure you get some good live rock!

I've seen that tank before . lol

i wonder how this is doing too. I've been busy and AFK for a long time now. You need about 20lbs of LR and your lighting may be fine... you can check here for some ideas on what you can expect to keep under that light.
