Hello all. I have a 55 gallon tank with fish and coral. Lately i have been noticing that i am alot of snails in my tank. Is there anyway i can get rid of them or control them? I think i have over 100 in there?

If you have the patience to collect them, I am sure that there are members who have fish who love to eat snails and would be willing to pay for shipping and maybe a buck or two for your time and energy.

As for getting rid of them, I would suggest one of those snail traps but with it being a salt water tank and all the other "critters" you should have in there it might not be a good idea unless you are willing to seperate the good from the snails.

Why would you want to? Unless predatory, snails are beneficial to your tanks success. It might help if you were to post a Pic of one, but if I had to guess, I would say you may have a population of nerite snails. I have hundreds of them. They are a primarily noctournal and very small, herbivorous snail. Beneficial to a reef system.

Take pride in what you do, for it is a reflection of who you are.
