I'm making lists on the stuff I need to order, I'm wanting to make a coral list, but I don't know which ones to get.

Here is my fish list:

2 Yellowbelly Regal tangs (On order, not arrived)
2 Blue Damsels (In tank)
1 Fiji Blue Devil Damsel (In tank)
2 Blue Sapphire Damsels (Not ordered)
2 Neon Gobies (Not ordered)
1 Yellow Tang? (Not Ordered)
1 Sohal tang? (Not ordered)
2 Firefish - Purple (Not ordered)
2 Firefish - Standard coloration (Not ordered)
1 Naso Tang? (Not ordered)
2 Tank-bred Ocellaris Clownfish (One ordered, waiting on the other)
2 Percula Clownfish (Not ordered)
2 Tank-bred Tomato Clownfish (Not ordered)
2 Blue reef Chromises (Not ordered)

I need to know what corals are compatible with these fish. I want to avoid SPS.

With that list you are in for a world of hurt.

Damsels are by far about the worst addition you make in any tank. The 7 you list will probably kill your list of fire fish, gobies, clowns, possibly the list of tangs and a Sohal IS NOT an appropriate fish for a 125g tank. This is not a well thought out list. Adding the damsels FIRST will let them settle their territories and will then attempt to kill or pester any new additions. Aggressive fish should always be added last so that they don't have territories to defend.

Most any corals will work with the list. The better question is that you have not outlined your tanks parameters in this thread. It isn't about the fish, it's about the established flow, lighting, and other equipment. This is the tank that you set up only a couple of days ago and have yet to finish adding all of the equipment. Unless you are independently wealthy and bought all of your equipment yesterday, I do not see how your tank can be ready for anything yet.

This one has been running for 2 months. I'll go test it later to get the parameters. I have been thinking about getting rid of the damsels. I'll put a post in another forum to re-do the fish list from scratch.

1 Sea Horse pump
1 Tunze wavebox (Hasn't arrived yet)
2 300 watt heaters
1 1/10hp chiller (Hasn't arrived yet)

There is more, I just can't remember everything.

I'm redoing the fish list, I posted something elsewhere for that.

Oh wow you really need to nail it down.

In one sentence you say "I want to stay away from SPS", then when your list hits us it has at least 7 SPS on it. That's HALF the list LOL. It's hard to take you seriously when you make posts like this.


As far as the list goes, it would be fine in a 125 with plenty of flow and light.

Since you say it's all up and running now, and we've seen you post pics, post some of it running with all the lights blazing.
