You should always quarantine. Fish for 3wks and corals for a day or 2. Watch them to make sure there aren't any unwanted creatures on them. Also, you can use different things like Interceptor to kill the unwanted inverts that may have traveled with the coral such as Acro-eating Flatworms and so forth.

What is Interceptor and how does it kill the unwanted creatures?

Interceptor is a med that is used on dogs for ticks and what not. It's reef safe and only kills inverts (i don't know if it'll hurt a anemone, so i don't recommend using unless you find out). So it'll kill zoa eating spider(or whatever they're called) redbugs, and some belive it kills ich.

different brands of idodine call for a different ratio.

recently ive been using kents concentrated iodine with RO water. its a 5ml iodine:16oz RO water
put the zoos in for 3-5 minutes then swish them around right side up, then upside down. this will let any bad hitchers die and fall off. it wont kill nudi eggs though, these will have to be manually removed if found. then put the zoos into your tank.
kent also makes lugols which is good stuff but a different ratio.
