Pulsing xenia isn't pulsing

does your xenia spread from your dirty water bear...i thought that would be the case but the one xenia i have in the water that is less than prestine ...without skimming....ihas ceased to pulse...in your experience with xenia is this normal....what i have read and heard from friends is that xenia does what it wants in differnt systems.....but i would like your 2 cents

from the reading i have done the most common factor to good growth was the persons slightly less than great water conditions.. i am not saying stop skimming or stop water changes but those folks who i have spoken to typically do 1x monthly water changes and clean the skimmer at that time....as for each individual doing its own thing... i think thats half of the appeal to saltwater.. nothing is ever duplicated 100% from setting to setting...

I'm happy to report that I've been working on upping my magnesium by adding epsom salt to the tank. While I of course can't say for sure that getting my Mg where it's supposed to be made the difference, my xenia is pulsing a bit these days.
