I just need to know whether it would be better to keep them in the dirty natural water from my tank or pack them with really clean straight RO water, OR a mixture of the two. They are still new to me and since they are filter feeders I don't really understand how much waste they produce if any at all. I figure I feed them so they must produce something but don't know on what kind of scale.
i would use tank water .. RO with out salt for that long may kill them ... since they are filet feeders what ever is in the water would keep them goin. but to help i would say dont target feed them for a day or two before you go and dont feed until they are in a tank ...
Your going to need a bubbler for airation, keep the O2 levels up in the container your going to keep them in, and a heater to keep temp constant. And use your tank water.
I guess I needed to be more specific...when I said RO water I meant with salt. I have successfully moved everyone. I ended up putting everything in fresh as in new RO saltwater. That was quite the trip. Thanks everyone. Posted via Mobile Device
