old pics. of my tank.

I haven't gotten around to uploading the new pics. to the PC yet but I figured, what the heck, I might as well show what it used to look like and next week I can show what a difference a couple years makes. This is when I first started 5 years ago I did start with a 36 gal. but after 6 months my tank shrunk so I got a 55 gal.

For me, it was a very bad choice because when I tried to clean the glass, I would move or break something because there is only 12 inches from the front of the tank to the back. I still have all of these corals except the plate coral kicked the bucket. I also have most of these fish. The only one in the pic. that I don't have is very hard to see. He is" SLY" the fox face rabbit fish to the lower right. He got so big that I traded him in at my LFS. I still have "Midnight"," Banana" and "Grandma" I'll let you guys figure out who is who. LOL

Then after a year, I couldn't take it any more and I only had a 4 ft. area to fit the tank and I had PCs and didn't want to spend more $ on new lights, so I got the 75 gal. and not the 90 gal. I'm still happy with my choice.I feel at this point, my tank is perfect for me.I mean now, not in this next pic.

This is a side view from almost 2 years ago. If you look at my RBTA real close you can see my 2 clowns "Happy", named because he was VERY HAPPY, when I got him the RBTA and of course, the other clown is named, OK, on 3,------ 1,2,3 NEMO!! Yea, my sons 11 so it's not my fault!! These guys spawn EVER 18 days or so. the most they have gone is 3 weeks before spawning. I wish I had the time, patience and room for another tank to raise the young but at least they feed my fish once a month

Am I boring you guys yet? I hope not. Next, I just have some random shots that I like.
This is "Nemo" in a night shot

This is "Peppy" My pet spider monkey from a long time ago!!! I don't know how he got in this fish forum??? LOL

This is "Rosy" and son" This is the first time that I finally got up the bal, I mean nerve to cut that huge thing in half. Well as you can see, the operation was a success and I sold one. I'll be doing it for the 3rd time soon
This is "Pinkie" My Talbots Damsel, OK, I can here the groans about the name but come on, some of the names are good. How about "SLY" the fox face? and "Banana" Well ? My son named him but I like it!!

This is a cool Hitch hiker Sponge that came out of nowhere.

Banana and my Yellow scroll which is now huge compared to this!

This is a pair of "Duck fish that I did"

This is my Mom thinking, "Boy, he's not as dumb as I thought he was"LOL

I love this Pic. of "Happy" and "Rosy"

I leave you with a pic. of a few of my babies swimming off into the sunset!

Great pics! You have a very, very, nice tank. Your mom was right, apparently you do know something.
Love your fish (Foxfaces are a favorite of mine) and the close up pic of "Happy in Rosy" is classic. Thanks for posting and sharing. More, we want more!
(Taxidermy, reef keeping, guitar playing, child and monkey care...how ever do you find the time for all your hobbys??)

I wasn't born yesterday. LOL Seriously, I love animals and have cared for and raised them all my life. When I was 16 years old, I caught a male and female skunk in a "Have-a-heart"trap. Back then, all you needed was a permit to raise wild animals and you could do it. I met with the Game Warden and he asked me a bunch of questions and he liked the way I answered him and I got a "Breeders Permit" I breed the skunks and wrote to the Bridgeport CT." library for directions on how to de-scent them. Back then, and maybe still, they were unbelievably helpful. They sent me step by step instructions, which I followed to the letter and My Dad de-scented 1 and I did 7 of the babies, and I sold them all for pets. Of course I'm going back 34 years ago, With rabies being a problem now, I could never keep a wild animal but it was an amazing thing to have done. Heck, when my Dad was a kid, he had one de-scented by a VET. and it died the same day.I did good!lol. By the way, any problems with your appendix, LOL!! Sorry, not enough time to talk about this. You can tell it's me by the calloused fingers from playing the guitar, LOL! I just really love ALL animals!!!

Nice pics!!! They are so colorful! How could you stand the smell of the skunks? We used to have skunks running all over the place here where I live. It used to not be safe to be out walking at night. lol

[dramma],,,,,,After I de-scented them, What smell?? I did get sprayed by one of them and I can tell you from first hand experience that tomato juice doesn't work at all!! My dog got sprayed and I tried it and she smelled like skunk and tomato juice. When I was de-scenting one, I got sprayed in the face and if you check out the pic. of the pool with "Peppy" my monkey, "Well, When I got sprayed in the eyes, it hurt so bad that I didn't think twice about jumping clear over the side of the pool and luckily, my dad had just chlorinated the pool and that is what saved me. 10 min. in the pool and even with a direct spray from 2 feet away, in the face and eyes, I felt no more burn, and nobody could smell a thing!!! Take it from a guy who knows from 1st hand experience, forget the juice, use chlorine!!! They should make this a sticky in the skunk forum!
