need suggestions for starfish to add

My mom wants a starfish in the tank in her office; preferably one that is "pretty". The tank used to be a reef until the heater got cranked up to 90* by an unidentified culprit and everything got killed off, so now that I've redone and re-cycled the tank, I'm starting it over just as a FOWLR. It's still not ready for inverts, but I like to plan things out to the nth degree. There are only 3 yellowtail damsels in there now and I plan on continuing to stock it with peaceful, pretty fish and an anemone as per Mom's request. So does anyone have any suggestions for an interesting/attractive starfish that wouldn't hide all of the time?

Tank specs are:
Size: 55g
Filtration: Rena xP3 canister
Skimmer: AquaC Remora 1400
Lighting: CoraLife compact flourescents
Temp: 78*
Salinity: 1.021
Substrate: 2" deep layer of aragonite
+/- 50lbs of live rock

linkia starfish are "pretty" but tend to die in aquariums. i would say a chocalate chip star but that wouldnt work. i suggest a brittle star except a green one as they could eat your fish.
damsels arnt peaceful fish IMO and anemones need a reef enviroment. could you please post more details on the tank? lighting, filtration, parameters, and so forth. thanks.

I figured a cc star would probably be my best bet. I don't want something that's going to die in a few months.

Specs are listed in the original post. Parameters are: ammonia- 0, Nitrate- 0, Nitrite- 0, pH- 8.4. I had 2 anemones before when it was a reef setup and they did fantastic until they got cooked. I have yellowtails in there now because they are tough and pretty and all of my research said that they aren't too aggressive.

yea ive wanted a linkia for a long time but never added one as ive heard they dont tend to last long. what are your cal, mag and alk levels?
IMO damsels are up there with the worst fish. i can agree they are a nice color blue but not worth the trouble they bring ( which again is my opinion ) and the worst part is that they may be behaved now but when its all said and done it most likely wont stay like that long and you wont be able to net them out, issues prob. will occur when the first new fish addition gets added ( which prob. will be killed )

I have no idea what the cal/mag/alk levels are... haven't gotten any sort of test kit for that yet.

If the damsels get too nasty, they can take a little trip to fishy heaven. That's what happened to the regular blue damsels that I inherited when I first started the tank.

What does this mean? If the fish misbehaves, you flush it?
