Mantis Shrimp is an evil little guy, but I think they're pretty cool. :) They spear or smash crabs, snails, and sometimes fish to eat, and have the power to split open a finger. Named for the eye stalks that make it look like a Mantis bug.

Anyways, cool encounter! Who would have thought you would find a Mantis on the beach.

Please, do not tap on the plastic like that.

What did you do with it?

Tanks: 40 gal FW setup, 10 gal Reef tank.
