is his mouth rotting?

hello! i bought a cc starfish a couple of weeks ago and he was doing fine. i prepared to have him by adding supplements to the tank a couple of weeks before and waited till the tank was perfect.
my issue is as i come home from school i see one of his sides is deflated and he is looking weak. i pick him up and a minute later he is big and buldgy again. i was also struck with a wave of panick when i noticed a rotting piece of what looks like soft tissue skin hanging out of his mouth. i thought it was just food but it is still there. i believe that is his mouth that is rotting away. from what have asked others, they ask what it eats, i say three pieces of raw table shrimp morning, noon, night.they say he is underfed but i ask for your opinion.

I highly believe that he is underfed. Also, about the mouth, i think it is either natural, or he has been injured.

(I love fish, and, and, fish, and ,and....) This could go on for a while....*30 minutes later*...still waiting...*7 houers later*...ssstttiiilll wwwaaatttiiinnnggg, zzzzzzz...

Feed him pieces of shrimp to get him back up. Its his stomach, somestarfish eat buy vomitting there stomach out there body to digest the food. Then they will suck it back in. But it sounds like your starfish is starving.

i know its been a while since posting this but good news!. i was told by a close friend to place 3-4 pieces of raw table shrimp on top of him every 4 hours and it worked. it seemed odd to me tht starfish had that kind of appetite but yeah, he is well im so happy!!!. thanks for caring :D
