ya thanks man i did buy a 2 part alk. calcium docer to try to raise them also, my hammer does home a ton for me just a bad pic i got.

also, for 1 of my corals i see white tips on them around certian parts, is that bad?

also pasafur, when i look at other pics of hammers mines does not open up like thoes, but when i look at mine i noticed that it seems to be budding and growing more little arms or what ever you would call them, but i guess that means hes in a good spot then?

the white isn't always bleaching. It could also be growing. I have an Elkhorn that has white tips daily, but it goes away quickly. most fast growing corals will do this.

correct. caps or plates like montipora will usually have white rims while they grow however in this case i dont remember the original poster saying they had any SPS. you do bring up a good point though

no sps? Then how are the ends whitening? I don't know what certain parts are... Can you elaborate Saltwater Beginner?
