Research suggests that there really is nothing in Marine Snow that could not be duplicated by adding drops from your skimmate back into the tank. In fact I know several folks that feed their corals skimmate. Some suggest the ammonia in urine helps.

I myself feed nothing to my corals.

Problem here is you do not list what types of corals. Most SPS only need high levels of lighting. In fact about 95% of corals will thrive in high lighting with no additional foods as the symbiotic algaes in their flesh create sugars as waste that the corals feed upon. Some corals may benefit from the addition of microscopic organisms such as rotifers, cyclops, and

It's a tough call as there are as many reasons not to feed as there are brands of food to feed.

some corals will even expand their polyps by giving them tiny pieces of shrimp in their mouths for example plerogyra sinuosa sor buble coral. but only once a week or once every fifteen days will be fine.

Some soft corals, especially mushrooms, benefit from simply stirring up the substrate a bit and letting the detritus in the water column settle on them.

Bottom line is, the corals you keep will determine what methods of feeding, and foods, the tank will benefit most from. As stated prior, a good number of corals feed on photosynthetic products of zooxanthellae algae within the coral itself. Coral are also suspension feeders, capturing Zooplankton to suppliment their diet.
