feather duster's are very siimple to maintain. They are nonphotosynthetic filter feeders, basically meaning they do not require light and feed on suspended phytoplankton as well as other organic matter in the water. They are not glutonous however and require very little supplemental feeding unlike other nonpthotosynthetic inverts. Other than that just maintian decent water quality and avoid copper-based medications and you should be fine : )

They really do not attach themselves to substrate so it is not mandatory for them however you can find plenty of those featherdusters stuck on live rocks mostly.

Featherdusters will either attach themselves to rock, or bury the majority of their long worm-like structure underneath what is hopefully a sandy substrate.

gymno pretty much summed it up regarding care. Good luck. there are some fine specimens indeed.
