are emerald crabs reef friendly?

had the guy try to talk me into a couple. they're cute little buggers but i wanted to find out first if they are ok with corals and small fish and small shrimp. i've read some differing opinions.

what say you all?

I've also heard various opinions about them so I decided a long time ago to not risk it and never added any to my reef.

They are ok if you have enough food lying around for them to scavenge. I've got 2 of em, and I never see em messing with the corals. But, theres always that chance. I don't like hermits or crabs in a Reef tank, ya just never know with these things when they get hungry.
