Corals need 24hr lighting?

Just wondering if corals or some corals need lighting 24 hrs?

I haven't seen a twenty four hour coral. You really just need to mimic their natural light requirements. Most of these Corals are collected from places which are close to the equator, so ten - twelve hours of light...

I use 11 hours of actinic light and 4.5 hours of 10000k light.
