Can Anyone ID This Reef Hitch Hiker?

Several weeks ago I bought the rock containing these green mushrooms. I didn't notice anything on the rock until about a week or so ago. Now there appears to be a Creeping Unsub, outlined by the yellow rings. The white area appears to be the same stuff that creeps from under starry polyps. The brown fuzz is tiny (very tiny) star polyps . Can anyone ID these?

They're definitely spreading, and I would like to know who is going to win the battle here. I don't want to lose the nice looking mushrooms. Should I perform a polypectomy and get rid these things?

its very hard to tell but that may be an encrusting monticap (which is a SPS) in a brown coloration. the "white area" that you see creep from underneath is the new growth. i personally would enjoy the hitcher as a free coral. you could always take a dremel with diamond blade and cut the rock so you have an instant frag of it, mushrooms are also very easy to frag and fast growing so i wouldnt be overly concerned.

Ok - I'll keep watch. A stony coral. Interesting.

During the day when the mushrooms open up, they appear to ride over the new growth and cover it. It might even be interesting to see how it all evolves over the next weeks and months.
