buying coral?

Hey, does anyone have some coral, shroms or polyps they wanna get rid of (or share) to help a newbie? I started a reef tank, but WOW, coral around here is exspensive. I'm sure some of you reefers have some kind of coral growing way too fast...
Anyway, I was also wondering about what are reasonable prices to buy corals. My LPS has little single shrooms for $10 apiece. Is that a good price? The zoas are $26- $40 for a 6 polyp frag. Those are the cheapest ones they have. Are these good prices, because I want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off before I buy any of this stuff. Thanks!

I have gotten all my corals from people on Craigslist. I don't know where you live, but do a search using saltwater, corals in CL. People are often fragging their corals, and you can get good deals. I only bought twice from a LFS, and have been most happy with my purchases from CL

Just because animals can't talk, does not mean they should not be heard
