hey guys, i just bought a bubble tip rose anemone yesterday...and i acclimated him to the tank with a drip system....the put him in the tank..


he looked pretty kool all the whole day...but then this moring when i woke up there were little pink tips all shriveled up over the bottom of my aquarium...along with white slimy looking stuff...my water peremiters are all good...exept for my nitrates are at about 5-10...the anemome is still alive....but not lookin as kool....oh yah and the water turned a little mercy to...

It is probably a goner. If you see it's condition get any worse get it out of the tank. A quick check is to raise it out and if it continues to fall apart or smells of death, get it out. When they die they quickly foul the water and can quickly kill everything in the tank. It would be to soon to really try and nail down what killed it. Whether it got hot on the way home, sat in a bag to long, starved in the store etc... RBTA's need a lot of light, intense light so keep that in mind if you get another.

well my lighting is 2x 65 power compact and 2x 20 tube lights...if he does make it, is that enough lighting?....

just today when i woke up he was out and looking pretty good....so im thinkin he might

Glad to hear of the turnaround. When they go they make a mess, so keep an eye out for it. Can't help you much about your lighting as you don't say what size the tank is. It'd be alright for a 20g but not suitable for 400g.

welll its a 40 gallon tank...im not to sure how many hours per day i should keep the lights on for though....i have a croeca clam 2 sponges a mushroom and bubble tip anemone.
