so from a brine shrimp egg can you actually set up your system to get brime shrimp to bread and just help supply your tank. or am i way off here, i am just wandering about live brime, i would rather use that if i could than frozen.

yeah you can, it is very possible. You just need to worry about getting a substantial amount of space, amount of shrimp that will breed and be eaten.

There are things to try out, you need the perfect number so you wont get all your shrimp eaten, or your shrimp wont out breed you.

lol, ok. well if i have like 150 gallon display with about 22 fish. i have a 45 gal ref. So how many grams should i start with ruffly, also. What is the exact process. just drop the eggs in the chaeto, or is it totally different than that?

i have no idea, it shouldnt be the main diet unless the fish you have are carnivores so you have to take that into account.

brine shrimp like a tank thats salinity level is a bit higher than sea water so you will need to get the salt levels right, currently im raising brine shrimp for freshwater fish.

The problem is you feed the entire batch right after the hatch or it's no good. They talk about stages and anything after the first stage is junk unless gut loaded such as frozen brine.

You'll need X amount of setups, X being how many times you feed a week. A 10lb can of eggs stored in the freezer. Buy 90% hatch. You add about 2 table spoons of eggs to a batch and wait about 24 hours to feed the entire batch to the tank. It is very complicated for the home reefer to pull this off with consitency. I've seen several people start and finish in less then a month. Pick up this month's Tropical Fish Hobbyist to read a story from a breeders perspective as to why it is a waste of time trying to do this at home as a main food source.
