Breeding Shrimp and/or crabs

I recently bought a mantis shrimp and wanted to feed it something nutritious and something that they like and ive read that their main diet is shrimps and crabs in the wild (mostly crabs).

So i wanted to set up a tank to breed crabs or shrimp. Which one would be the easiest to breed that is the best source of nutrition for my mantis shrimp.

For something like that, try a 10 - 20 gallon heavily planted tank and ghost shrimp. It's easy, inexpensive, as nutritious as any of the others will offer, and low maintenance. You can spawn them in freshwater, and then acclimate fry over to brackish and then to full saltwater if you want...
It will take a few months to establish, but ghosties breed pretty easily and can do quite well in heavy brackish water long term, which means their survival in the main tank will be long enough to make them food.
