Arrow blue knuckle hermit mystery

Couple weeks ago got blue hermit tonight notice he is in the shell but there is what looks like another one one the sand and it is moving. What the dickens is going one

Do you mean there was two in theshell? I dont have another shell. Hes gone now must be under a rock or something

Sounds like your hermit molted and what you saw was just the skeletal frame "moving" from your flow. A lot of people dont realize that hermits molt their exoskeleton and then move back into their shell.

Yup, they do. When I found my first molted hermit crab I thought it was dead. Showed up 5 days later just fine. They will go and hide after a molt until their skeleton hardens.
