Any ideas on coral behavior?

First of all, please loose the water conditioner, especially for Reef Tank. Simple aeration wil remove chroline. Never have use them since always had reserve perculating and ready to go. It's another chemical additive. Who knows what effect it may have on coral when poured on top of them. Reef set up with liverock, one should not have ammo, nitrite problem once established. So called routine maintenance can yield different results form time to time. You seem to have hang of it.
I do not know how you add new water to tank. Have you consider adding to sump as being pump to tank rather than directly into the tank in order to minimize disturbances to corals. From my past experiences, adding directly into the tank did yield some odd behaviors of corals.

hi cody im new to this forum website and i read what is inside your tank and that you have a plate. could you give me some advice about them, like behavior and how they eat. also my plate has a brown crusty looking spot at the tip of its body
