Many Saltwater wholesale suppliers sell them as "pink cladellias" but they are actually a regular colt coral injected with pink dye, it just gives them an excuse to double the price on the coral, but more often than not they damage it during the dying process. I also could not see your eel in the video and i am curious what species you have. Nonetheless, tank looks great, and I beleive this is the second video you have impressed me with, keep em comin : )
thanks again.. yea im an artist at heart so after being afraid to put my hands in the tank and my boyfriend not really cooperating with my direction for positioning of things.. i now have had my whole arm in the tank lol I feel like im an initiated marine chick now? lol
the bat fish we just got yesterday! they do their pick ups on tues and thursdays at our lps so siince im there almost everyday and they sckipped the pickup this past tuesday, I made sure i was first to get there yesterday haha ( plus catching them before they are dripped gets you a discount!)
as soon as i walked in i saw him and grabbed him! ive seen them at other stores black n white but they looked more like angel fish rather than batmans. this guy is awesome!
also they had an african wrasse in one of their reef tanks there but could never catch him for me.. lucky me .. they picked one up for me with the delivery but as soon as we put him in the tank he freaked out and blew sand everywhere and dissapeared. the store said he probably burried himself. Ill get pics up of him as soon as he comes out.. hes got some amazing markings.
as per the eel.. hes a snake eel. ive been kind of grossed out by them but this guy was cute. he just stays in his lil cave that he found and only pops his head out to huff and puff then hide again. im trying to catch pics of him.
the pink thing.. my bf got yesterday for $50 since i love pink of course. is that a decent price? he said its supposed to open a lot more but im just waiting to see what it does.
one of the first corals he brought home was a fragged piece of toadstool which is pretty ugly and boring. they charged a fortune for a tiny piece of nothing that tore in half and half died and the other is just sittin on a rock not doin much.
theres a horshoe crab in there also. hate to say it but that lil guy is probably the dumbest thing ever. i grew up in NJ where i used to see the huge ones on the beach shore. so i kinda have a fear of them. this guy is like 2 inches long. comes out at night and just bangs into everything aimlessly. we call him "numnuts"
is it normal to name your fish? lol
