I relocated him away from the tank but any chances that he will be okay? anyone ever had this happen?

Is it possible for you to post a picture of the anemone so we can properly ID its species? The different types of anemones have different habits, grow to different sizes, and not all are safe with fish (or all fish). Some species of anemone will eat fish.

How big is your tank? How big is the anemone? There are things you can do to protect an anemone from filter intakes, but again that depends on tank size and species of anemone. Some anemones will find a spot where they are happy and stay put, others will stay where you put them, and yet others will move frequently because they are not finding what they need for a good spot. How much live rock is in the tank? Other animals?

Again, pictures of the anemone and tank would help a lot with this one!
