Question Will angels survive a cycle?

I'm setting up a new 20 and due to getting two free juvie angels today i was thinking about throwing them in there as i have nowhere else to put them right now. I am setting up the tank and seeding it with gravel, live plants, and filter media from my established 10 gallon. How long will it take the tank to cycle like this? If i stay on top of my water changes at least daily to keep the parameters somewhat in control will the angels make it? I know they are a delicate fish.

I just got back into keeping fish after about 10+ years of not doing it since I was a little kid, and I knew nothing about cycling...bought angelfish when I started getting back into fish about 7 months ago and threw them in..they survived and are just fine to this day. I don't know if I would recommend doing it now that I know better, but mine lived. I did water changes religiously on the tank though...but your results may not be the same.

As far as the angels being delicate, in my experience you have to be really careful on your water changes (right temp, make sure you're spot on with dechlorinator amounts, don't spook them too much). Maybe I'm just doing it right, I don't know for sure but mine are thriving as far as I can tell. I've had a couple of occurrences where I added water that was a little too hot or a little too cold and they really didn't take too well to it, but other than that they've been fairly easy to take care of.
