where do you get your rock from??

Hey I was wondering where do yall get your stone from for you fish tank? Is there some where online i can order from, if so, where? I was thinking about going to the Stone yard here close by and getting Riprap, can i use something like that?
What stone can i use?

I use lace rock. An river slate.
I get it from My LFS.
You can also use Boulders from your lawn and garden stores.

Texas holly rock.
Limestone.
Lace rock.
River slate.

For my cichlid tank, I just went to my local rock yard and picked up some river slate, 18 bucks filled my 55g with more than enough flatrock to be sufficient for rockworks. Most rocks you come upon will be safe as long as they're cleaned properly

I found a place about 2 hours away that will give me a truck load of brown tan river rock if i want it.

i get mine from my backyard we have all kinds of rocks from lake superorior and other places like that. like stated before slate is a good choice and some small boulders you can make an appertment style rockwork my cichlids love it! but when you do this make sure your rock is against the glass and not ontop of the substrate because if they start digging your rocks could fall on them and kill them. (learned from experience) luckly nobody died tho.
