where did my male krib's color go?

last week I bought an adult male krib, I have two other female kribs in the tank he is in... they are smaller than him tho. anyways, when I bought him he caught my eye because he was absolutely gorgeous, now he is pretty much always grey and dull... his stripe fades, the only time i see his strip or a bit of color is at feeding time. I feel terrible, I feel I must have taken him away from his other females and now he is depressed or something, he even chases away the other two females :( he seems healthy and the other females look great, so I dont know what it could be... any suggestions? I wanna make him happy again...

Is he acting healthy? Swimming about and eating well etc? If so I wouldn't worry.

Males are generally less colourful than females.

Colour in cics is something that varies. You've only had him a week so maybe hje just needs to settle in?
