hi,

my acei gave birth a little over a month ago, and most of the fry are half an inch or bigger. they are very robust and most of them are almost completely opaque (as in i cant see their stomachs or spines). they are swimming to almost all levels of the tank, but they still prefer to stay near the bottom. i am planning on keeping maybe one or two of the best looking ones ;-) and selling off the rest.how much should i be able to get for these and when can i sell them? They are currently taking crushed flake, and do not yet eat from the surface.

They need to be eating full adult food prior to selling them.

If you are planning on selling them to an LFS, they will most likely not take them until they are about 1.5-2" and eating full adult food.

I would wait until they are all eating properly. If you intend on keeping them, I would keep at least a group of 7 and then once you can sex them (by venting), then you keep 1 male to 4 female if you want to breed them again or 1 male to 2 female to keep aggression down.
