What's going on with my angels?

I have had my 2 angels from when they were about 1/2" big, and they have always been together, and have always got on. However, just recently thay have started to display to each other in a funny way. I'd just like to know what's going on, and if i need to seperate them before things get violent...

THey have always hung out together, in a kind of best buddy kind of way, but just in the last couple of days they have started acting odd. every now and again they turn to face each other, lips to lips, about 1/4" apart and kinda twitch at each other and the smaller of the two nips at the others belly, by the two long ventral fins. Not hard enough to cause damage, kinda playfully.

After this, they go side to side, head to tail, and kinda circle each other a couple of times before either going to opposite sides of the tank, or just hanging out together as if nothing has happened.

This is repeated about every 5-10 mins or so.

I have no idea of their sexes, and am under the impression that it is quite hard to tell unless you actually catch one of them laying eggs (if anyone knows different then let me know!)

So, should i split them up before it all goes horribly wrong, or is it just playfull?

Cheers

Seems either showing off strength for dominance to me or a sign of incoming spawning season.:? Unless you've seen them frequenting one area, it's the former.
