What is this african?

Quick question. I have somebody you can't keep is African Cichlids and the pic he sent me I nor does he know what kind of cichlid. He says its purple

It could be an Acei Mbuna, they are purple'ish blue with yellow fins. I am not seeing any yellow, but if it is on the small size 2-3" it may just not be colored out yet. The picture is kinda fuzzy so it's hard to see details. The picture below was taken from the internet.

If it is an Acei, in our experience they are one of the more sociable Mbuna. We had ours in with our large Haps and they got along great. This Acei was a top water swimmer and very much athletic! We sold him to a friend who was setting up an all Mbuna tank, as we were trying to accomplish an all Male Hap tank at the same time. Hard to tell the sex on the Acei, as well as most Mbuna without venting them. Females and males look the same. We did not want any cross breeding going on in our Hap tank.

99% not an Acei, need a better picture to see what it really is though.

Looks like it could be a Metriclima Gresaki but cannot tell without a better picture.
