Looks like a jack dempsy or some sort of south american cichlid.

Both Photos look like young Flowerhorn cichlids. As Adults,Will require very large tank and lots of filtration.

MY wife came home with him 3 weeks ago..... I did not know what type of fish
he was.. but she liked him and bought him.. SURPRISE..... lol
well I after looking at the markings I thought it was a FLOWERHORN as well.. I looked up
Flower HORN and thats a pic of a youngen.....
SO JUST MAYBE thas what he is?
He is in a 120 gallon tank
I am not so sure about the aggression of these fish... but he seems so docile in the tank
