Want to add a cichlid

I have a kribensis female and 5 tiger barbs. What other cichlid can I add to my 30g tank?

you may want to consider getting more tiger barbs instead/as well. 5 is the bare minimum; when i had that many i had some serious fin nipping problems.

Personally, I would try for a pair of kribs. I think that would be nice for a 30.

Definitely increase the barbs, another 3 for 8 total. Do not add a second cichlid species, a 30g isn't sufficient space (even though the krib is a female), a male may work if they get along; they will spawn regularly if they do.
