Tropheus duboisi

I used to breed tropheus duboisi about 15 years ago, and since have moved on to other fish. Although I don't really breed anymore I'm looking to get back into T. duboisi. The problem I'm having as I'm sure most of you know is they are REALLY hard to find. Anyone know of any recources for them?

Thanks

I don't think they're that hard to find. We get them from time to time in my LFS, and any reputable store should be able to stock them for you. MainlyCichlids.com is a very reputable breeder, and has "White Band Mboko" and "Maswa" in stock. LiveAquaria also appears to have them in stock, although they don't list the type.

The only LFS areound here are the big chains and they dont even know what I'm talking about. When I ask if they can get them they tell me that they get what they get and I cant special order. Thanks for the link though I'll check them out.

Aw, that sounds like a sketchy place to be buying fish from...but I'm VERY skeptical about buying sick fish, and have seen a lot of nightmares. I'd look around to see if your area has a local aquarium society. Perhaps someone there can point you towards a more reputable place.
