Thinking of moving...

Thinking of moving my firemouth on. He is currently in a 29 and is a beautiful fish but the only time i get to see him is when im hiding in my room. Otherwise he starts hiding as soon as i get into it. I'm about 50/50 on the idea and my lfs has baby firemouths and convicts in... Pretty sure they could order me any other reasonably common fish in to replace him with too. He is in the tank in my sig. Id love something small and not aggressive but wouldn't make a mad dash every time he saw me. Any suggestion?

I would get some Pelvicachromis pulcher aka as kribs. They are beautiful and mine do not hide. I have eight juvies and the colors are amazing - Not sure what size of a fish you were looking for or tank setup however they seem to work with alot of different things.

Thanks for your feedback!

36 Gallon Bowfront

I'm kind of embarrassed to answer this... I've had him for 2.5-3 years... But 2-2.5 years he was in a 55 that wasnt looked after AT ALL. I went to school 5 hours away and when i came home from break I tbh, didn't care. Then i decided i should, bought a new 29 to stick in my room cause then it would be easier for me to remeber to take care of the tank and stuff and he has been in that for a month and a half. Today though he was out and begging for food when he saw me come into the room, so i think im gonna do something diff then the origina plan... Tomorrow im getting fish for my 75 thats done cycling... My baby green severum is in it... and probably will have a hard time out competeing the school of silver dollars im getting so im thinking i might switch the sev and the firemouth for now. As the 75 is in my living room. I figure this will give my sev a bit more time to grow out and help my firemouth get more used to people. The only problem i see with this is ill be getting a baby blue acara hopefully on monday so im thinking i should probably wait to do the switch till after then.

And i think i've decided to not get rid of him. He is just to pretty of a fish. Only thing i see wrong with him at all is the scars from hole in the head he had while he wasnt looked after when i went to school.
