Hey Taz nice to meet a felow Scot here :) Im originally from glasgow but stay out near Stirling atm.

I just did an image search for 'Sp. 44 cichlid' it gave me various pictures. Im not sure what kind of info your looking for if I know that I can have a look for you later if you like :) is it behaviour info, water chem ? or just as much as possible about them ?

Ive got 2 tanks running atm and a 4ft on the way (my first mbuna tank to be set up after a few months of research, getting super excited about it lol). First it a Juwel Trigon 190l with various larger community fish , angel, parrot, few Kribs and cories mainly. The second is a small 2ft with shoaling fishes, neons, harlequins, mountain minnows and 2 hillstream loaches and some amano shrimp. Ive just started a thread about setting up my mbuna tank in the freshwater pictures forum if you want a peek at my progress (or lack there of) so far.

Taking my son to the safari park today so must scoot (the other halfs giving me that look thats says...'are you gonna hurry up or what' )

Seems they have been named wrong or somthing ..perhaps this is why there isnt a lot of info about them on the net

Haplochromis sp. 44 "Flame Tail"

Hey Magzmoir. Found an awesome description/explanation with pics on another website - it describes them to a "T"!! I will try to update/increase the profile(Yours?). I tried, but had to leave (doing the work thing) and when I came back, it wanted me to re-log in and I lost about an hours' work. Will try again later today. If I can figure out how, I'll take a few pics an pass them on.
