in my 110g I have 3 green sevs, 10 tiger barbs, a
Rainbow Shark, 1 common plec, 1 male krib (dont ask, was a rescue from a friends tank lol) 2 blue gouramis and 12 spotted/peppered cory cats.
To be honest, the barbs have never even so much as looked at the severums but once and frankly, my sevs arent bashful about kickin some proverbial teeth in if they get nipped at lol the severums did get the usual barb nipping (i guess the barbs way of saying hello) when I first put the barbs in there, but the sevs chased em off and they have been 100% peaceful with each other ever since. the sevs beat the hell out of each other constantly, but its always just amongst themselves.
perhaps given the opportunity to do it all over again I might have put something different than barbs in there, but based on my experience I have to disagree with lupin and 1077. On the other hand, my barbs dont bother the gouramis either, and they definitely should, sooo maybe I just got some pacifist hippy barbs :)
that being said, maybe a male/female pair of severums, a couple different types of bottom dwellers, and do away with schooling fish all together? Sevs are EPIC eaters, id worry about weenie fishes lol
