Well the big chain pet stores don't normally carry base rock of aquariums. (At least ones by me don't) However there are two "ma and pa" fish stores near me and they both carry almost any type of base rock and at any size you could ask for. If I were you I would see if you could find a "ma and pa" store. Goodluck :)
I got my rocks from petco... they came in a box for seven dollars... I always wondered why they put a box of big rocks on sale for seven dallors
