Question Red oscar not so red

I don't know if I got the picture on this thread but my baby red Oscar that I got from pet supplies plus is not red at all and I'm just wondering if i have a red Oscar or a different species of Oscar? if the picture is not in this thread just look at my aquariums i have a picture of him there hes kind of grey with a black head.

Chances are he is still settling in. Plus young oscars will not exhibit the vibrant color of adults. Sometimes it just takes time. Give him a big tank, clean water, and a healthy diet and I am sure the color will come.
