Ram spawning with loach

I'm aware that if my rams are trying to spawn, my clown loach will probably eat the eggs, so my question is, will the rams continue trying to spawn (probably killing my female) if their eggs are eaten, or will my male give up for a while and let my female recover??

I don't think they'll "give up" just because the eggs get eaten. I have a krib pair that has been separated for months, and the female still lays eggs on a regular basis. Fish are really gung-ho about reproducing.
